A link was added to "Most Requested" section on the right linking to FEMA's Issued Flood Maps for Columbia County. FEMA has produced new flood insurance rate maps. These maps have not yet been adopted. The maps are tentatively scheduled for adoption on December 30, 2008. Copies of the proposed flood insurance rate maps are available for inspection in the office of the Board of County Commissioners at 135 NE Hernando Avenue, Suite 203 Lake City, Fl.

The 2008 Public Safety Expo will be held this Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds on State Road 247 in Lake City from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Emergency response vehicles will be on display along the midway, and informational booths will be set up inside of the Fairgrounds Entertainment building.
